Great catch on the pickup tube being to long, real nice to be able to pass that on. The lint just shows that no matter how hard you try to keep it clean that something will find it's way in. Thanks for sharing.

I always liked the trailing arms and coils on the older Chevy trucks.

My license plates are all screwed to the ceiling. I have used a couple to secure shelves to the wall to prevent them from tipping over.

I once built a complete inner fender splash shield out of old license plates and self tappers to keep the road grime out of my fresh LS swap. My son wanted me to keep it but I ultimately tore it out and put a factory piece in place lol.

Had the same red lint problem on a Nostalgia A Fuel dragster engine, I quit using the red shop towels and just used blue paper towels for engine assembly. Solved the problem.

Chad, I certainly enjoyed this video. The way Gonzo is turning out is awesome and I bet is going to be a real hoot to drive; for me, keeping my right foot under control would be the hardest part. I’m building up the courage to start my own project vehicle. It’s time to sell the 21 Camaro SS and go old school. I wrenched in high school and loved it. I think it’s time to get back to some of that. Thank you for the inspiration!

THANK YOU CHAD! I'm working on a project that is using one of those pans and pickups! Engine is bolted in with oil pan for mock up and i hadn't installed the pick up yet. When watching i pulled my pick up out of the box and sure enough it built the same. definitely will be fixing that! Thank you for saving my engine!!

I don’t keep a stack of old license plate but I do use them for things around my house. One use in particular is cutting them into inch and half squares to mark a trail through the woods to my deer stand. Since they are reflective they are easy to find with a flashlight in the morning before the sun comes up.

Great video explained everything so simple even my non mechanical dummy understood. CHADS FAB is for everyone to learn thank you . Nobody else explains in color crayons which makes it so simple. My freinds laugh when I say that.

I've said it before but such a cool truck and it gets better with each upgrade. I like the electric brake especially on an older vehicle. I hope to see it in person someday.

I use old plates for mounting things in doors, or for floor pans, making brackets- anything requiring thin aluminum.

If you would have just taken a jack and pushed up on the rear of the engine-- I bet it would have flexed enough to get it in there. Those rubber mounts can move around quite a bit.. Worst case, you may have needed to pull the bolts on the transmission mount and let it lift a couple inches. It was so close. :) .. I think the engine pushed up in the rear would have made it rotate up enough so that the flywheel would angle slightly to the rear, just enough to squeeze it in there. maybe next time.

Oil pan prob was wierd, they make lint less shop towels and now use them and found they actually are lint free as after several builds am finding no lint in screen or filter. Bit with lites had me laughing!
